There’s nothing quite like a date – a girls date that is! Finding the perfect activity for a girls day out in Vancouver isn’t hard but today I’m sharing four of my favourite tried and tested girls day out ideas in Vancouver. Here they are…
The Bloom Tulip Festival, Abbotsford.
Like it was handpicked straight out of the Netherlands, but instead located in the Fraser Valley in Vancouver. Spending the day running through rainbow colourd fields of tulips with your girlfriends sounds pretty fun, right? A blooming beauty to say the least! This is a really nice spring girls date idea as let’s get real, no guy is going to want to spend the day here with you and even if they say they do, well their blatantly lying. Aside from the rows and rows of colourful tulips, there’s food trucks for filling your bellies and an on-site flower market, for taking some of the beauties home.

I should look up, but i can’t take my eyes off these tulips
Top tip: Head out to the Fraser Valley and catch the tulips in the morning before the crowds arrive. Open from 9am to 7.30pm.
Tickets go on sale each Tuesday for the following weekend(very bizarre but you have to book ahead for most things here in Vancouver) or you can just pay at the door.
See their website for more details.

Disregard me, the appropriate footwear is rain-boots and raincoats like these local girls know
Other recommendations for Abbotsford: Field House Brewing Co is one of the best breweries I’ve been to in a long time and i don’t even drink beer, remember. With an amazing outdoor seating area, this is the perfect summer selection for you and your gal pals. Thanks to Westcoastcitygirl for finding this beaut and helping me discover a beer that i actually like.

Beers for the babes
You can’t sample the beer without sampling the wine in Abbotsford, yes i’m a wine kind of girl. Ripples winery is what winery dreams are made of! With an outdoor area featuring a display garden and a pond, here is the place to sit and enjoy their surroundings and the open fire. Their famous blueberry wines are to die for. Oh and so are cuddles with Charlie, the winery’s dog FYI, not the owner.

Wine and beer in the same day – gotta keep us all happy!
The Secret Garden Tea Company
Nothing says a girls date quite like afternoon tea! Vancouver’s most popular place for high tea, from the homemade sweets and the quaint interiors, Secret Garden Tea Company is the perfect choice for any girls day out in Vancouver. Located in Kerrisdale, a village- like community in Vancouver, explore the neighbourhood once your all tea’d out.
The service here is wonderful and the delicious treats, served across three tiers accompanied with freshly brewed teas are even better.

Tea top pick: Creamy earl grey tea which is also one of their best sellers.
Reservations are recommended and for those of you with specific requirements, they also offer gluten-free high tea options and even high tea for children. The cuteness!
Open Monday- Saturday 8am-6.30pm and Sundays 9-6.30pm. Just saying, but this is also a great suggestion for upcoming Mother’s Day in Vancouver.

Reflections Garden Terrace
Located in the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, Reflections is the sophisticated outdoor dining/ bar area, with cosy seating, lined with lit up trees, foliage and flowers. I went here during the day for lunch but I will certainly be coming back in the evening time with some gal pals to enjoy their selection of summer cocktails.

Views at Reflections
Top picks for food: You can never go wrong with avocado toast and Reflections guarantees that.
Open Monday – Friday 11.30am to 11pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am to 11pm

Vancouver Lookout
While considered a very touristy activity no matter wher you are in the world, looking down on Vancouver from one of the city’s tallest building is still a pretty cool experience. Grab your best gal pals and take 40-second ride In the glass elevator to the top of Vancouver Lookout, where you’ll be greeted with 360 panorama views.
Open from 8.30am to 10.30pm(Summer hours)

All smiles, on top of Vancouver
So there you have four girls day out ideas for fun filled days in Vancouver. Grab your gal pals and try these soon!
