So they say January is the month most people book their sunshine holidays (it’s one way to rid those blues after all). I know most of us ladies love getting the holiday bits sorted and sometimes having key items and mixing and matching them can help you in the process of packing like a pro for a summer trip.
I have collaborated with an online fashion brand, Stylewe for this post where I have picked out five divine pieces from their website that I would wear myself on a sunshine holiday. This fashion website contains designs from independent fashion designers around the globe. Considering the diverse range of styles and designers on this online fashion platform, style savvy ladies will find lots of unique and exclusive pieces to choose from. I also have included snaps of myself on getaways wearing similar key pieces (as it’s always nice to see pieces on normal people as opposed to on picture perfect models after all).
- Floppy Hat
There are a multitude of reasons why a floppy hat is a girl’s best friend while on Holidays. Greasy hair or hair gone wild with humidity? Not a problem, throw a hat on your head and your good to go! Not only is it a sensible choice because it protects you from the sun’s harmful rays but it can be the finishing piece to top any outfit. Hats off to this beauty below from Stylewe.
I thought a floppy hat was an essential accessory for driving in a in a Ferrari in Monte Carlo and it cost me one euro at a market in Thailand(who said it has to match Monte Carlo prices?)
Who doesn’t love throwing on a kimono while on their holidays? Kimonos are so effortless and light to throw on and instantly make the outfit have more appeal. Plus if you are someone who doesn’t like to bare their arms a lot then a kimono is your go to item. I particularly fell in love with the kimonos from Stylewe’s website. I mean Just look at this multicolored boho inspired beauty below.
Bikinis and swimsuits are probably the first items that cross our minds when we dream our holidays to sunnier lands. I always am fond of a bikini with some unique detailing and that is why I adore this bikini from Stylewe .
The lace up detail with cross over straps will make this a show stopper as you lounge poolside. With the rear of the bikini being a little on the cheeky side(for the use of better words), this will be a head turner as you on go a beach stroll. I also think one pieces with little cut out details make swimsuits look more attractive (obviously not when you are a burnt lobster like me in the photo below though).
- White Dress
A crisp white dress is another staple for you travels to hotter climates. What I love about this maxi dress is that it can be thrown on over a bikini during the day for heading to the beach.
For night it can be vamped up with some sandals and a statement necklace. Packing pieces that work for both day time and night time will mean you can get away with packing less.
- Two Piece/Co-ord
The Co-ord or matchy matchy two piece is my favorite item to wear on holidays. Two pieces look super cute on and essentially you have two outfits in one as you can combine the top with different bottoms and vice versa. This aqua blue two piece from Stylewe is the perfect outfit to transition from day to night.
I know this trend was huge last year but I bet we will see it in full force again this year once the sun starts peeping through( we are all waiting patiently)
So girls I hope you enjoyed this short and sweet style inspired post for sunny getaways. What are your go to items for sun holidays and more importantly where are we all going this year?
