Are you heading to Amsterdam soon? On the lookout for a unique and quirky styled hotel for your stay in this electric city? Being a lover myself of accommodation with a difference (it’s my little guilty pleasure) check out some of my previous weird, wonderful and unique hotel picks from around the globe… Vice Versa Paris and Crazy House Vietnam
But for now moving swiftly back to Amsterdam and the incredibly unique plus picturesque Inntel Hotels Zaandam.

Unique hotel Zaandam Amsterdam
The Inntel hotel is the first thing to grab your attention as the train pulls up to the Zaandam train station. The 4 star hotel ( which really should be awarded five… i mean come on guys) is a blend of a colourful and cartoon-esque façade. Its architecture is based on impressions of traditional Dutch houses but in no plain sailing style. No here at Intel Hotel standing out is key and they do it oh so beautifully. The exterior looks as though a load of doll houses have been stacked on top of each other in some kind of disorganized but perfect mess. This hotel is like your statement necklace, it adds a colour pop of bright greens and blues to express an individual personality you can’t compare or find anywhere else
.
So how about the hotel’s interior? Well yes it holds its own on that front too. With a cute and intimate restaurant looking out onto the water fountain and serving only pure ingredients even down to the cream they drizzle on the desserts(as if i ever had to be forced to try the homemade cream).

Puur Saen Restaurant
The rooms here are cute and cosy, we stayed in the taste deluxe room and it had a nice spacious bathroom with a bathtub. The room itself isn’t overly spacious(there will be no swinging cats or any of that carry on) but they make up for that will the comfiest beds and pillows you will ever lie on. Our room was indeed Cocoa themed( well if I payed for a tasty room it has to resemble tasty right?) and as it turns out the Zaandam region is indeed famous for its Cocoa.

The hotel also features a wellness center and has a large swimming pool looking out over the cute as Zaanadm village(the village has a Primark and Europe’s first McDonald’s just in case that’s somewhat valuable information for some of ye).

Happy streets of Zaandam Village
Tasty rooms at the ever unique Inntel Hotels are from €78 a night.
Inntel hotel is not only the perfect unique hotel in Amsterdam it is also the ideal location for those who don’t want to stay right in the center of Amsterdam but want to be close enough to the action if desired. Intel hotel is a 2 minute walk to Zaandam train station, you can see it as you look out the bedroom windows. A return ticket will cost around €6. The journey time should take less than 15 minutes and you get off after two stops(easy peasy)
So if it’s unique you require when coming to cool and quirky Amsterdam look no further than the visually stunning Inntel hotels. You can thank me later!!
