Paris is famous for being one of the top tourist destinations in the world. I mean who in their right mind wouldn’t want to visit this city of love?
In this post I will be detailing the hotel I stayed in for my first time in Paris and why I recommend it to those who like something a little out of the ordinary.
Introducing …..Vice Versa Hotel, situated on Rue de la Croix Nivert, close to Parc des Expositions Porte de Varsailles and a half hour stroll from the Eiffel Tower, which I walked and enjoyed the scenery. This hotel is like no other as it is a sin- themed hotel, yes here is where you can bask in the seven deadliest sins. Designed with perfect attention to every little detail by Chantal Thomas(lingerie designer and interior designer) this is more than a hotel, its a whole experience and you really need to come and enjoy it for yourself! Starting at €180 a night, its definitely a luxury stay in pretty Paris. With a sin to fit every soul, the option is entirely yours. Choose to relax in the theme of greed, sloth, gluttony, envy, anger, pride or lust. Tough choice, I know! I just couldn’t decide and would have loved to stay in all(oh to have endless money) but in the end I went for one night in lust and one in gluttony.
The gluttony room, located on the first floor was my favourite. So freeking cute, words cannot even describe. Think teapots for lamps and macaroons for cushions on a cupcake circular bed.(tea party heaven). One piece of advice though do not choose this room if you are a very tall person, as you feet will dangle over the edge. Circular beds and tall folk is not a good combo.
The lust room is black and white themed and its a darn right sexy room. Revealing women’s silhouettes cover the walls, lace décor and mirrors on the ceiling. Its somewhat got a brothel vibe, but in the the much classier way. This is very much a room for couples, do not stay in this room when on a girly weekend, that would be just totally weird.
The décor and detail doesn’t end in the rooms though, as you enter the hotel, you are greeted with a living room resembling heaven. All white errrrrthang, fluffy cushions and just a huge amount of comfort and coziness is what you will be feeling . Having breakfast in the morning, you can dine in a greed room of course, enjoy some French tasty bread and pastries. To step up the uniqness to the next level, head down to the basement to the Hammam. Book your hour slot to spend in the private steam room, Hell themed and release the devil inside of you.
I promise you that this hotel is in a world of its own. Hands up to Chantal Thomas, for her creativity. She has designed one sassy hotel. Located close to the metro and in a nice quiet area, this will be an excellent choice for your stay. The staff here are super friendly and welcoming. Only downside I could find with the hotel, was the size of the rooms. They are pretty small as far as hotels go these days(this is pretty common for boutique Parisian hotels though) and I found it a struggle to find space for my massive suitcase( I do not believe in travelling light). This is my only really complaint with the hotel. I Really loved my stay here, its the perfect place for a romantic getaway. It will be an unforgettable hotel experience, that I can guarantee. A sin is only a click away by booking a room at www.viceversahotel.com .
